0.8% indexation of the income tax scale and increase of the tax rebate (2013 income)
After two years of freeze, the 2014 Finance Act raised by 0.8% the bracket thresholds of the income tax scale for 2013 income: 5.5% from €6,011 to €11,991, 14% up to €26,631, 30% up to €71,397, 41% up to €151,200 and 45% above. The tax rebate (décote) went from €480 to €508. In 2014, housing tax allowances and the reference income thresholds for exemptions were raised by 4%.

Measure impact
Indexation prevents a household whose income follows inflation from paying more tax. The Government estimated the cost of the article at 893 million euros, including 193 million euros for the rebate.
