Young innovative company status extended to end-2025 and age limit cut to eight years
Article 33 of the 2023 Finance Act extends by three years, for companies created up to 31 December 2025, the exemptions from profit tax, property tax and business property contribution attached to the young innovative company (JEI) status, as well as the employer contribution exemption. For companies created from 1 January 2023, the maximum age to qualify drops from eleven to eight years.

Measure impact
SMEs under eight years old spending at least 15% of their costs on research and development can obtain the status and related exemptions. Companies created before 2023 remain subject to the eleven-year limit.
