CODEVI savings account turned into the sustainable development savings account (LDD)
Article 30 of the 2006 Amending Finance Act turns the industrial development account (CODEVI) into the sustainable development savings account (LDD). Deposits finance small and medium-sized enterprises and energy-saving works in older buildings. Only one account may be opened per taxpayer, or one per spouse or civil partner. Interest remains exempt from income tax (Article 157, 9° quater of the General Tax Code). Decree No. 2007-161 of 6 February 2007 sets the deposit ceiling at €6,000 per account from 1 January 2007. The account became the sustainable and solidarity development savings account in 2016.
