New rights for parents of seriously ill children
The law of 12 June 2026 doubles the leave granted when a child is diagnosed with a serious illness (from 5 to 10 days), extends the daily parental presence allowance and removes the cap on "Mon soutien psy" (psychological support scheme) sessions for minors with a long-term condition.

Duration of the AJPP (daily parental presence allowance) extended from one year to 14 months; AJPP available for shared residence 18 months after enactment. Unlimited psychologist sessions for minors with a long-term condition (ALD) under a care protocol. Coverage of occupational therapists, psychomotor therapists, dietitians and a neuropsychological assessment. Pilot schemes on the AEEH and the mobility inclusion card.
