Excise surcharge funding non-interconnected zones and the phase-out of LPG in Corsica raised by €0.27/MWh
Article 72 (II and III) of the 2026 Finance Act assigns part of the excise surcharge in Article L. 312-37-1 of the CIBS, which funds electricity generation costs in non-interconnected zones, to the aid for phasing out LPG in Corsica. From 1 August 2026 to 31 January 2027, this surcharge, applied to the standard excise rates on heating fuels and electricity, equals its 31 July 2026 amount plus €0.27 per megawatt-hour.
