Pension insurance credit for parental leave extended to self-employed farmers, craftspeople and shopkeepers
Article L. 351-4-1 of the Social Security Code grants members of the general scheme an increase in their pension insurance period equal to the length of their parental leave. Article 108 of the 2007 Social Security Financing Act extends this rule to the scheme for self-employed farmers (Article L. 732-38 of the Rural Code) and to the schemes for craftspeople and shopkeepers (Article L. 634-2 of the Social Security Code). Parents in these schemes can thus have periods spent raising a child during parental leave counted towards their pension.
