Car malus switched to the WLTP standard on 1 March 2020
From 1 March 2020, the date set by decree 2020-169, CO2 emissions of new cars under the new registration system are measured according to the WLTP procedure and the malus applies a specific scale: it starts at 138 g/km (€50) and reaches the €20,000 ceiling above 212 g/km.
