Simplified rental income regime (micro-foncier) applied automatically and threshold raised to €15,000
Article 12 of the 2002 Finance Act amends Article 32 of the General Tax Code. The simplified regime for taxing rental income ("micro-foncier"), previously optional, becomes the standard regime for taxpayers whose gross annual rental income does not exceed €15,000, instead of 60,000 francs (€9,147). Taxpayers may opt for the real regime for an irrevocable five-year period. Options exercised in 1999 or 2000 lapse from the taxation of 2001 income.
