€18 flat co-payment on medical procedures costing at least €91

Decree No. 2006-707 of 19 June 2006 rewrites Article R. 322-8 of the Social Security Code. For procedures with a coefficient of 50 or more or a fee of €91 or more, and for hospital stays during which such a procedure is carried out, the patient's co-payment is set at €18, whereas these procedures were previously exempt. Exemptions remain for heavy imaging, related emergency transport and hospital costs from the 31st day. The €91 threshold is uprated every year. The charge applies from 1 September 2006.
