Experimental Brittany-specific Pinel scheme

The 2020 Finance Act introduces, on an experimental basis until 31 December 2021 (later extended to 31 December 2024), a regional adaptation of the "Pinel" tax reduction in Brittany: the regional prefect, after consulting the regional housing committee and the president of the regional council, sets the eligible municipalities or parts of municipalities and the rent and tenant income ceilings, by municipality and dwelling type.

Affects buy-to-let investors in new housing in Brittany: eligibility no longer depends on national zoning but on zoning and ceilings set by the prefectoral order of 19 March 2020, for acquisitions and building permit applications from 1 April 2020.
