Monthly family benefits due from the month after entitlement opens
Decree 2014-1707 of 30 December 2014 sets a general rule: monthly family benefits are due from the first day of the calendar month following the month in which entitlement conditions are met, and stop from the first day of the month in which they are no longer met. Specific rules remain for PreParE (first child), the childcare supplement, the disabled child education allowance and the daily parental presence allowance. The decree notably ends payment of the PAJE basic allowance from the date of birth.

Measure impact
New recipients of family allowance funds receive monthly benefits from the month after entitlement opens; for example, the PAJE basic allowance is no longer paid for the child's month of birth. The Senate report on the 2015 Social Security Financing Bill notes a cash-flow effect for some families.
