Scrappage premium extended to e-bikes and bicycle bonus extended to cargo bikes
Decree No. 2021-977 of 23 July 2021 creates a scrappage premium for buying an electrically assisted bicycle, equal to 40% of the purchase cost up to €1,500, in return for scrapping an old vehicle. It opens the bicycle bonus to cargo bikes, bikes adapted for people with disabilities and electric trailers (40% of the price, up to €1,000), for individuals whose reference taxable income per share is €13,489 or less and for legal entities. It also changes the bonus and scrappage premium for vans and allows microcredit providers to advance these aids.
