Increase in the employment bonus and creation of monthly payments
Article 6 of the 2006 Finance Act replaces the amounts and rates of the employment bonus (Article 200 sexies of the General Tax Code). For the bonus calculated on 2005 income and paid in 2006, the main rate rises from 4.6% to 6% and the tapering rate from 11.5% to 15%; according to the Senate general report, the maximum amount near the minimum wage rises from €538 to €714. The supplement for part-time workers is increased. From 1 January 2006, the same article creates monthly payments from January to June equal to one twelfth of the previous year's bonus (Article 1665 ter), raises the advance for new recipients from €250 to €300 in 2006 and removes bonuses below €30. The amounts set for 2006 income were replaced by the 2007 Finance Act.
