Electric retrofit premium extended to coaches, heavy goods vehicles and small tourist trains
Decree 2022-669 of 26 April 2022 extends the premium for converting combustion-engine vehicles to electric power (retrofit) to buses and coaches (categories M2 and M3), trucks (N2 and N3) and tractor units of small tourist road trains. The aid is 40% of the conversion cost, capped at €30,000 for buses, coaches and small tourist trains and €50,000 for trucks. The decree also extends to one year the minimum period during which aided vehicles must be kept.

Hauliers and operators of small tourist trains converting a vehicle to electric power could receive up to €30,000 or €50,000. The coach and heavy-vehicle component ended on 31 December 2022 (Decree 2022-1761), with invoicing allowed until 31 December 2023 for earlier orders; the premium remains available for small tourist trains.
