Health insurance coverage of vaccines given in yellow fever vaccination centres
Article 58 of the 2020 Social Security Financing Act provides for health insurance, or State medical aid, to cover vaccines given by yellow fever vaccination centres for vaccination required or recommended for certain journeys, where they appear in the vaccination schedule for children aged six and over and adults and are on the list of reimbursable medicines. Reimbursement is based on the purchase price paid by the centre, up to the manufacturer's price excluding tax, with the usual patient co-payment. The article enters into force on 1 June 2020.
