Extension to 2017 of the SOFICA income tax reduction (film and audiovisual financing)
Article 72 of the 2015 Finance Act, resulting from an amendment adopted by the National Assembly, extends until 31 December 2017 the income tax reduction for cash subscriptions to the capital of film and audiovisual financing companies (SOFICA), provided for in Article 199 unvicies of the General Tax Code, which was due to end on 31 December 2014.

A positive amount is revenue or savings for public finances; a negative amount is a cost or lost revenue.
Measure impact
According to the Senate general report, 6,720 households used the scheme in 2013 for a tax expenditure of €21m, capped by an annual fundraising envelope of about €63m.
