Mandatory supplementary pension for self-employed farmers: free points extended to spouses, family helpers and collaborators
Article 34 of Law No. 2014-40 of 20 January 2014 extends the mandatory supplementary pension scheme (RCO) for self-employed farmers to periods worked before 2011 as family helper, participating spouse or farm collaborator, and to farm-manager periods before 2003 where the minimum insurance period was not reached. Free points are granted on 1 February 2014 to the retirees concerned, or on the pension start date for pensions starting after 31 December 2013. The surviving spouse of a farm manager who died before claiming a pension can receive, from 1 February 2014 at the earliest, a survivor pension based on these points.
