Tax reduction for survival annuity and disability savings contracts: ceiling raised to €1,525 and €300 per child
Article 85 of the disability law of 11 February 2005 amends Article 199 septies of the General Tax Code. The ceiling on premiums eligible for the tax reduction on survival annuity and disability savings contracts rises from €1,070 to €1,525, plus €300 per dependent child instead of €230. Survival annuity contracts now cover policies guaranteeing a lump sum or life annuity to a child, a direct or collateral relative up to the third degree or a dependant with an infirmity. For disability savings contracts, all premiums are taken into account, not only the savings portion. The rules apply from the taxation of 2004 income.
