Corporate tax reduction for subscriptions to the capital of press companies
Article 14 of the 2007 Finance Act creates Article 220 undecies of the General Tax Code: companies subject to corporate tax receive a tax reduction equal to 25% of cash subscriptions made between 1 January 2007 and 31 December 2009 to the capital of companies publishing a daily newspaper or a general and political news publication appearing at most monthly. The shares must be held for five years and there must be no dependency link between the subscribing company and the press company. The same article extends the investment provision for press companies (Article 39 bis A) until 2010 and amends its scope.
