Reform of the home-based personal autonomy allowance: higher ceilings and lower co-payment
Implementing the Act of 28 December 2015 on adapting society to ageing, Decree No. 2016-210 of 26 February 2016 raised the monthly ceilings of home-based APA care plans, expressed as a fraction of the constant attendance supplement (coefficients raised from 1.19 to 1.553 for GIR 1, from 1.02 to 1.247 for GIR 2, from 0.765 to 0.901 for GIR 3 and from 0.51 to 0.601 for GIR 4). It revised the recipients' financial contribution, which is zero below 0.725 times that supplement, and created an increase of the care plan to provide respite for family carers.
