New unemployment benefit rules under the agreement of 14 April 2017
The unemployment insurance agreement of 14 April 2017, approved by order of 4 May 2017, changes how entitlements are calculated: eligibility opens from 610 hours or 88 days worked, the number of days worked determines benefit duration and the daily reference wage, and senior rules are shifted: maximum duration of 24 months up to age 52, 30 months for ages 53-54 (36 months with training) and 36 months from 55. The rules apply to contracts ending from 1 November 2017.
