Livret A savings account ceiling raised to €22,950
The decree of 24 December 2012 raised the deposit ceiling of the Livret A account for individuals from €19,125 to €22,950 from 1 January 2013. This was the second 25% increase after the one of 1 October 2012 (from €15,300 to €19,125).

Measure impact
As Livret A interest is exempt from income tax and social levies, the higher ceiling increases the amount of savings that can benefit from this exemption. The funds collected finance social housing in particular.
