Lump-sum reparation for Indochina repatriates housed in dedicated facilities (1954-1975)
Law No. 2026-1008 of 29 October 2026 recognises the Nation's responsibility for the reception and living conditions of repatriates from Indochina and their families. Article 3 grants a right to reparation to people who stayed, between 22 July 1954 and 31 December 1975, in one of the reception facilities listed by decree: a lump sum based on the length of stay, according to a scale set by decree. Claims are handled by the National Office for Veterans and Victims of War (Art. 4). The sum is exempt from income tax (Art. 5, General Tax Code Art. 81, 4°, d bis) and excluded from the CSG base (Art. 6).
