Self-employed farmers' pensions: calculation on years of activity and age-based reduction of buy-back costs
Article 103 of the 2026 Social Security Financing Act adjusts the 2025 reform basing self-employed farmers' basic pensions on their best 25 years: the years counted are years of 'activity' rather than 'insurance', without requiring farming to be the main occupation, and some earlier periods and increments are counted. The payment to buy back years is reduced according to the insured person's age, under conditions set by decree. Applies to pensions starting and applications made from 1 January 2026.
