Small farm pensions raised to 85% of the net minimum wage (Chassaigne law)
Law No. 2020-839 of 3 July 2020 raises the minimum pension guaranteed, through a supplementary-points top-up, to former farm operators with a full career, and extends it to the overseas territories. Decree No. 2021-769 of 16 June 2021 brings the start forward to 1 November 2021 instead of 1 January 2022 at the latest as set by the law, including for pensions already being paid.

Measure impact
Pensions of former farm operators with a full career are raised to 85% of the net agricultural minimum wage (previously 75%), i.e. €1,035 gross per month according to the Government, from pensions due for November 2021. About 208,000 retirees gain €100 per month on average. Collaborating spouses and family helpers are not covered.
