Under articles L. 161-23-1 and L. 161-25 of the Social Security Code, basic-scheme old-age pensions are indexed by a coefficient of 1.008 on 1 October 2017 (interministerial instruction of 15 September 2017). Pensions had not been increased on 1 October 2016; the next indexation was postponed to 1 January 2019 by the 2018 Social Security Financing Act.
