Small farm pensions: final stage of the increase through free pension points
Article 117 of the 2002 Finance Act brings together in Articles L. 732-54-1 to L. 732-54-8 of the Rural Code the mechanisms for increasing self-employed farmers' pensions: an increase in farm operators' proportional pension up to a minimum raised from 1 January 2002, free points for periods worked as a spouse or family helper, whose minimum level, raised gradually from 1 January 1999, reaches its final step on 1 January 2002, and a differential increase in points for farm operators from the same date. Decrees No. 2002-297 and No. 2002-298 of 1 March 2002 set the minimum numbers of points, calculated by reference to the minimum old-age pension, for pensions due from 1 January 2002.
