New rule for uprating social benefits on past inflation
Article 67 of the Finance Act for 2016 rewrote Article L. 161-25 of the Social Security Code: the annual uprating of the benefits referring to it equals the change in the annual average of consumer prices excluding tobacco over the last twelve known monthly indices, and cannot be negative. It set 1 April as the uprating date for the supplementary invalidity allowance, the disabled adults allowance, the activity bonus, the RSA and the specific solidarity allowance.
