Robien rental investment: 40% flat deduction for homes let to associations housing disadvantaged people
Article 109 of the Social Cohesion Programming Act amends Article 31, I, 1°, e of the General Tax Code: an owner who opted for Robien depreciation gets a 40% flat deduction on property income (instead of 6%) when letting the home to an approved non-profit body or social-economy union that makes it available to disadvantaged people, under rent and income ceilings. It applies to homes bought new or started from 1 January 2005. It also allows, at the end of the three-year period under way on 1 January 2005, the 40% increased deduction for a subsidised (conventionné) home.
