State support for youth employment in companies extended to young people from deprived urban areas and CIVIS holders
Act No. 2006-457 of 21 April 2006 replaces Article 8 of the Equal Opportunities Act (first employment contract, CPE). It rewrites Article L. 322-4-6 of the Labour Code: State aid to employers hiring on a permanent contract (at least half-time) is open to low-qualified young people aged 16 to 25, young people aged 16 to 25 living in a sensitive urban zone and holders of the social integration contract (CIVIS), for two years, possibly on a declining basis. Decree No. 2006-692 of 14 June 2006 sets the aid at €400 a month for a full-time job (€200 for an open-ended professionalisation contract), halved in the second year.
