Abolition of the temporary waiting allowance (ATA) for new claimants
The 2017 Finance Act repeals the temporary waiting allowance (ATA) of the Labour Code, on a date set by decree and no later than 1 September 2017. Decree 2017-826 of 5 May 2017 sets that date at 1 September 2017. People with open entitlements on that date keep receiving the allowance until their rights expire.
