Removal of the dividend tax credit
Article 7 of the 2011 Finance Act repeals Article 200 septies of the General Tax Code, which gave individuals a tax credit equal to 50% of dividends received and taxed under the progressive scale, capped at €115 for a single person and €230 for a couple. As the article has no specific date, the law applies, under its Article 1, to income tax due for 2010 and subsequent years.
