Repeal of the tax on capital gains from social housing sales
The 2020 Finance Act repeals the tax on capital gains from the sale of dwellings by social housing bodies and approved mixed-economy companies, created by the 2018 Finance Act and postponed to 2020. This tax, allocated to the social rental housing guarantee fund, had never been applied.
