Annual office tax in Île-de-France: extension to parking areas and new rates
Article 31 of the 2010 Amending Finance Act reforms the annual tax on offices, commercial premises and storage premises levied in Île-de-France (Article 231 ter of the General Tax Code). The tax is extended to parking areas attached to these premises. The three rate zones are redefined: Paris and Hauts-de-Seine, the other municipalities of the Paris urban unit, then the rest of the region, with municipalities eligible for both the urban solidarity grant and the Île-de-France municipal solidarity fund placed in the third zone. Rates are raised: for offices, from €15.91/m² (standard rate) in the first zone to €4.51/m² in the third; for commercial premises from €7 to €1.80/m²; for storage from €3.60 to €0.90/m²; for parking areas from €2.10 to €0.60/m². Rates are indexed each year on the construction cost index. The growth in revenue goes to the Société du Grand Paris.
