Authorisation of a limited increase in the tax on natural gas (up to €8/MWh by decree) depending on changes in the pre-tax price

Measure impact
Rate raised to €16.39/MWh on 1 February 2026 (from €15.43/MWh in August 2025). Annual update date moved to 1 February (instead of 1 January). VAT impact: move to 20% (from 5.5%).
