Creation of a tax for the National Dairy Office (ONILAIT) on quota overruns
Article 25 of the 2005 Amending Finance Act creates a tax earmarked for the National Interprofessional Office for Milk and Dairy Products (ONILAIT) to fund its dairy market actions. It is owed by milk buyers and by producers selling directly, on the quantities of cow's milk delivered or sold during the twelve months before 1 April that exceed the producer's individual reference quantity, after any allowance set by order. The rate is €30.91 per 100 kilograms of milk. It is not due on quantities subject to the EU levy under Regulation (EC) no. 1788/2003. Decree no. 2006-1074 of 28 August 2006 sets its implementing rules.
