Business tax for non-commercial professions with fewer than five employees: taxable share of receipts cut from 10% to 6%

Article 26 of the 2003 Finance Act supplements Article 1467, 2° of the General Tax Code: for holders of non-commercial profits, business agents and trade intermediaries with fewer than five employees, the share of receipts included in the business tax base, 10% in 2002, is set at 9% in 2003, 8% in 2004 and 6% from 2005. The loss of revenue for local authorities and their groupings is offset by a levy on State revenue. The government bill provided for a reduction until 2006; the National Assembly, on the initiative of its finance committee, brought the end of the reform forward by one year.
