Digital services tax ('GAFA tax')
Creation of a 3% tax on the turnover of digital giants (GAFA) with more than €750m in global turnover and €25m in France. Applies to digital platforms and targeted advertising services

Measure impact
3% tax on the digital turnover of large groups (global turnover >€750m, France >€25m). Targets digital interfaces (marketplaces) and targeted advertising. The Loi de finances pour 2026 (2026 budget act) doubles the rate to 6% for groups with global turnover above €2bn, bringing expected revenue to around €1.4bn. Measure presented as a response to US tariffs on French products.
