TV services tax extended to premium-rate call and text message revenue linked to programmes
The base of the tax on television services (article 302 bis KB of the General Tax Code), which funds the audiovisual programme support account (COSIP), now includes sums paid to channels by operators for revenue-sharing phone calls, online connections and text messages linked to their programmes, except programmes serving a major national or public-interest cause. Those collecting these sums must report them each year to the channels and the tax authority.
