Higher ANAEM taxes on residence permits and new tax on renewal of work permits
Article 133 of the 2007 Finance Act amends the taxes collected for the National Agency for the Reception of Foreigners and Migration (ANAEM). The range of the tax on a first residence permit (Article 1635-0 bis of the General Tax Code) rises from €160-220 to €200-340 and the tax is extended to permits under Article L. 311-2(3) of the Immigration Code. The tax on renewal of work permits and residence permits valid as work permits, previously set by decree alone, is now framed by law between €55 and €110. The tax for validating a certificate of accommodation rises from €15 to €30. Decrees No. 2007-320 and No. 2007-321 of 8 March 2007 raise the first residence permit tax from €220 to €275 and set the work permit renewal tax at €70.
