Exemption limit for the employer's contribution to meal vouchers raised to €4.80
Article 34 of the 2004 Amending Finance Act raises from €4.60 to €4.80, from 1 January 2005, the income tax exemption limit for the employer's contribution to meal vouchers (Article 81, 19° of the General Tax Code). The ceiling had not changed since 2001. The article comes from amendment no. 50 of the National Assembly finance committee (general rapporteur), which proposed €5 and was revised to €4.80 at the Government's request. The same ceiling governs the social contribution exemption.
