Waste TGAP increase path 2026–2030

The Loi de finances pour 2026 (2026 budget act) sets annual increases in the TGAP (general tax on polluting activities) on landfilling and incineration of waste until 2030.

Measure impact

Landfilling of non-hazardous waste: €69/t in 2026, then €73, €77, €81 and €85/t in 2030. Incineration with energy efficiency below 65%: from €29/t in 2026 to €45/t in 2030. Incineration with efficiency of at least 65%: €16 to €20/t. High-performance sorting residues: €8 to €10/t. The cost is partly passed on through the household waste collection tax or charge.
