Insurance contract tax on 'solidarity and responsible' health contracts raised from 3.5% to 7%
Article 9 of the second amending finance act for 2011 doubles the special tax on insurance contracts applicable to 'solidarity and responsible' supplementary health insurance contracts, from 3.5% to 7% (Article 1001 of the General Tax Code). The proceeds are split equally between the national family allowance fund and the national health insurance fund. The increase applies to premiums or contributions falling due from 1 October 2011.
