Employer health payment for employees on short contracts or very short working hours
Article 34 of the Social Security Financing Act for 2016 allows employees on fixed-term or temporary contracts whose collective coverage would be too short, as well as some employees on very short working hours, to opt out of the company supplementary health insurance and instead receive a payment from the employer to fund an individual compliant policy. A branch or company agreement may provide for this form of coverage below duration thresholds. The payment enjoys the same social treatment as the employer's contribution to collective coverage.
