Increase in fees for residence permits and naturalisation

The Loi de finances pour 2026 (2026 budget act) raises the fees for issuing and renewing residence permits, regularisation and long-stay visas and naturalisation, and creates a €100 fee on temporary residence authorisations.

Measure impact

Total amounts payable from 1 May 2026, including stamp duty: first issue of a residence permit €350 (versus €225) and renewal €250 (versus €225). The law sets the first-issue fee at €300 and the renewal fee at €200, and creates a €100 fee on temporary residence authorisations. Fees for regularisation and long-stay visas and the naturalisation fee are also increased.
